The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is located in the heart of the historic NoMad neighborhood, north of Madison Square Park.
The hotel has 168 rooms which have an understated old world European elegance and sense of permanence. I’m into antiquated leather.
The black framing not only ties in the furniture but creates moments of strength in the spaces.
The mahogany desks are the boasted feature of all rooms and suites.
I’m a fan of a theatrical gesture.
No labels here to spoil the design.
Well the Parlour is far from understated.
sit, read, have a coffee, a cocktail…………
They have a great website with large images to entice you as well. No many hotel websites seduce you with imagery like NoMad’s does.
Images re-blogged form the hotel’s web site and Yatzer.
