Welcome to Sydney’s newest terrace bar/restaurant The Butler, in Potts Point. With views like this, you would be mistaken for thinking its a roof top bar, but it’s actually downstairs from the entry level. That is one of the beauties of Sydney, its hills. The venue’s, (formerly the infamous Mezzaluna), recent refurbishment is a light and playful take on tropical colonial veranda theme by Luchetti Krelle – the pictures speak for themselves. I checked it out last night and it is a nice relaxed vibe and a great place for a cocktail. I suggest going before (10 pm) when local noise restrictions enact the unfurling of the clear vinyl blind giving the view an interesting distortion.
The operators, Applejack Hospitality Group, also have Bondi Hardware, Kirribilli’s The Botanist and SoCal in Neutral Bay. All very casual and inviting social spaces serving awesome food. Images from Concrete Playground
